Black Poplar Mushroom also known as “Pioppino” are commonly found wild in Italy. They are called Poplar mushrooms as they are normally found growing on Poplar trees. They have a firm texture and when cooked, produce a nutty taste similar to cashews. Great with rice, risotto, pasta and meat dishes.
